Up, Up and Away!

It is always interesting to see where inspiration for an art project comes from.  This is my latest mixed media piece.  Of course, all the talk about the Chinese surveillance balloon and the three other ufo's shot down over the US recently started the process but it was the conversation I had with a friend at the gallery open house on Sunday about our shared hot air balloon experiences that made me decide to do this piece with a bit of Steampunk vibe.  (And of course, I was humming the old 5th Dimension song all the while!)  "We can fly!"
