Piece Hall (1778)
This unique square sticks out like a sore thumb in amongst the 1970s carbuncles of Halifax. It seemed a neglected place this morning though.
It was built as a place for local cloth makers to sell their pieces of cloth in the years before the Industrial Revolution. You can probably guess what happened to it then.
