Exciting purchase

Purchase from Ebay popped through the door .....foremost lawyer, judge, parliamentarian and with the ear of Oliver Cromwell, Charles1 and 11 and friend of Samuel Pepys .... I first came across this gentleman while reading Mead's Economic Geography of Scandinavia in University he was named as English Ambassador to Swedish Queen Christina in Stockholm in 1654. Like Pepys he was a diarist but the purchase of the diaries are outwith my purse so I look forward to feasting on this excellent biography of him by Ruth Spalding.
