Winter Blues

The main event for me today was our annual u3a Winter Blues Lunch. I do note that more significant events were taking place elsewhere. 

There were nearly 40 of us and and it was lovely to chat to people outwith our more normal monthly meetings and groups.  A key element is the raffle  - these are a key element of many events in Pitlochry and I suspect also other small towns. I also suspect that some prizes do the rounds circulating from one raffle to another. However the key difference of this one is that no-one goes away empty handed - we each brought a prize, were given a ticket and you then went up to select your prize when your number was drawn.

T was up first and choice, as I predicted, a box of chocolates. I was towards the end which meant the scarf I had my eye on had gone and I choose a mug filled with a miniature of gin, chocolate and a rather nice tea towel.
