Pride

Another night where the rain was torrential causing flooding on roads and covering bridges; we even had trouble getting out of our driveway despite the drive having some grit and rubble added yesterday.

Our hosts drove us to the Shelati Bridge in The Kruger National Park where we walked across the bridge (it permanently houses a train turned into a luxury hotel!) where staff carried our bags and put us in a 4x4 to take us to Skukuza Airport inside the KNP.  The rain stopped and we took off for our one hour flight to Johanessburg where we had a 4 hour wait for our overnight flight back to Heathrow, London, landing at 5.15am.

The blipfoto is of a pride of Lions we saw on our drive to Shelati Bridge, the first time we'd seen any during our stay and completed the Big 5 for our visit - a nice bit of luck!  I only had my small pocket camera with zoom so the quality has suffered but great to record the moment.
