Wanderings and meanders

Yellow flowers with bees

Lanark Road West, Currie

Spotted when walking to pick up milk and bread before lunchtime. I'm not sure what the plant is, maybe some type of mahonia. I could smell it before I saw it, a sweet heavy scent. It seemed to be popular with bees in the warm sunshine.

Wander along the Water of Leith in the afternoon, it was bitter walking back into a biting wind.
