Busy old day

Had a little visitor this morning, safely ensconced in the humane trap, no wonder Phin has been very attentive to the utility room the last couple of days. Once Phin was in daycare I made another couple of squares for the temperature blanket. At 12 we headed off in 2 cars to Ratho station to the workshop which is going to fit the removable tow bar to the car.

Small detour via Roslin Glen to let the mouse out in the undergrowth and another detour when Mr PHL’s Satnav took us on a tour of the housing estate near the workshop before we got there. We’ve left the car overnight and will collect tomorrow at some point.

As we were close to the other VW dealer we popped in to ask them to look at the broken wing mirror and give us a cost to fix. Given that we didn’t have an appointment we were seen quickly and got the quote back this afternoon. Just waiting on timing of the parts availability and we will get it booked in to be fixed.

Home for lunch and more work on the blanket. I’ve now finished January as can be seen in the extra. I also sorted out a loan for the bit of finance we need to pay for the new caravan, very quick and easy and should have the money in the next few days.

Phin came home from daycare absolutely shattered and just about woke up for his dinner but us now crashed out on the sofa in the living room.

Dinner was leftover steak and veg from last night on a bed of salad. Very tasty.
