Pheasant ( Phasianus colchicus )

We haven't had Pheasants visiting over winter, perhaps something to do with the shooting we hear.  Now this beautiful cock Pheasant is a regular visitor.

I have put this in the genus colchicus but members of five other genera have been recorded in the UK.  Some are indistinguishable apart unless you are a pheasant specialist, which I am not.
