Bombshell

Well, Scottish politics have had a shock today. Nicola Sturgeon, our First Minister, a towering figure in Scotland for more than a decade, has resigned. 
We had no warning.
 
Whatever your views on Scottish nationalism there is no denying she has done more than anyone to promote independence, at the cost, some would argue to other more important immediate issues.
