Back after some months

We had not walked along the drove since before Christmas - but today was such a lovely day that I was drawn along there - no muddy paths as no rain for weeks, no freezing fog, no bitter wind (or any wind, actually) a temperature in double figures (just), blue sky and sunshine. What more could we ask for in mid-February? No sugar beet had been grown along here in the past year so there was no heap of beet on the ramp awaiting collection - just a pile of rich, dark soil which Pixie and Sprite found ideal for running up and down the sides!
