Locked up

A strange experience yesterday. We wanted to get our car from the garage in the evening to drive home. We were able to open the gate normally from the outside to get in, but there was no way to open it. We were locked in. Not only the car, but also ourselves.

No chance to open the gate. Everywhere we called we got only tapes. The garage belongs to a commercial building we have nothing to do with and there was no office manned at that time.

There was a door with an emergency button. But we didn't know whether this would alert the fire brigade or the police. In the end, the rescue was really a call to the fire brigade. Fortunately, the person in charge at the volunteer fire brigade knew the building. His father had something to do with it. And finally we were "rescued" by father & son after an hour.
