Middleham

Yesterday we walked over Middleham High Moor, passed the gallops and onto Coverham. We were walking into the wind and it was a bit of a trudge.

Today we walked to East Witton ( resting place of proud Yorkshire man and broadcaster twice nightly Richard Whitely) across fields and saw a Camino Ingles to Santiago sign but I haven’t been able to find any info about this route though it probably leads to Jervaulx Abbey. We had to cross the River Cover via stepping stones which was an adventure, unfortunately young Albert took a leap of faith and fell in!
