An unusual combination

I noticed this unusual collection of decorative objects outside an apartment on my floor.  In this country, people who hang flags on their door don't usually celebrate gay pride so publicly.  It's encouraging to see.

Not a great day today.  I had a 2:00 appointment for my annual diabetes eye exam, but somehow I had it in my head that I needed to leave at 2:00.  When my calendar suddenly sent me a message that it was 13 minutes until my appointment time - it's never done that before - I realized I'd made a big mistake and had to call, apologize and reschedule.  Made me feel like a dunce, not for the first time..
