Ginger biscuits
A full day in the kitchen today batch cooking curry to use all the remaining veg from the garden except the kale! Prepping seemed to, actually did, take far longer than cooking, but it was a sense of achievement at the end of what seemed a long day of standing on a hard flagstone floor! I also managed to produce a batch of ginger biscuits which are Barry's favourites, at least home baked ones! I hope I can find room in the freezer for the ready meals.
I did fit in a walk with Reg down our hill and up the Seddling hill on the other side, not all the way up but as far as he wanted to go. I met a friend outside her house who I haven't seen for a while, so that was a nice surprise. We didn't spend long chatting as there was a cold wind blowing, we were quite exposed on the hillside and she really feels the cold, but it was a nice interlude.
After all that curry cooking I didn't fancy it so just had a really quick salad. Barry enjoyed though.
I was pleased to sit and relax after dinner. I had a good phone call with mum, also a lovely chat on the phone with Charlotte, we always find something to laugh about.
I finished my evening and watched The Dog House, definitely up there as an all time favourite watch.
I am now going to add my 'gratefuls', idea copied from HarlingDarling. I think it is such a lovely way to finish a blip and something that feels important.
Gratefuls:
For having the space to grow our own food
For having a warm cosy kitchen to cook it in
For having a little companion to get me outside
