Under the Hammer

Our book club met in Under the Hammer tonight - a pub situated under the local auction house.
After a quick discussion about the book, the discussion turned to today’s news of FM Nicola Sturgeons resignation. She has become a fairly divisive figure recently (and has been struggling on a number of fronts) but her resignation still came as a major surprise.
I wonder what Mrs Pankhurst would have made of a country having a female leader for 7 years?
