Those were the days!

A bit of an EB but I was looking for a street plan in my desk (which I didn’t find) but did come across this old photo. It shows my grandmother and her sister on a trip in the country. It’s dated 1916 and was taken by my grandmothers friend Billy who traveled behind her in the sidecar!

I just love that wicker sidecar - safety requirements were just a bit more relaxed over 100 years ago! I think they were probably early hooligans in their day!

My grandmother was the first female probation officer and was often in “The Old Bailey”.
