After the storm
Storm Otto raged last night. We expected him to continue all morning and planned a late kick off. By 0930 the weather looked good, so we set off. Apart from a light shower we were dry all day.
Once the weather improves, you feel that you need to keep going, just in case it changes quickly.
We were near Levenburgh all morning, then had an interesting lunch in a shed….. leek and potato soup followed by mushroom or bacon butteries.
This afternoon we travelled on the Gold Road. We stopped to see the church at Rodel. Sadly it was locked, but I photographed the broken heart in the church wall (see extra).
We stopped in Manish Township and looked over to Skye. I found the boat almost hidden in a hollow, just opposite the house and it’s reflections.
We saw Margaret’s newly purchased house near the end of the road. I’m sure she will be very happy there; she is completely at home on Harris.
It’s 8pm and I’m in bed. We start very early in the morning while the weather is set fair For a long day out.
