Storm Otto

Woke in the night to doors slamming and the bedroom window wide open with stuff all over the floor. Yes storm Otto had arrived with gusts of up to 80mph.
 
Daylight revealed the damage in the garden.  Our two cordylines have been all but destroyed though one may be survive. The rest of the garden is relatively unscathed.
 
Still, keen gardeners will appreciate that the loss of two prize plants, which have taken years to grow, is a sad loss.
 
I know this is insignificant compared to the rest of the country where thousands of homes are still without electricity and fallen trees block roads.
