The bird man

On Saturdays and Sundays this gentleman comes to feed the birds and squirrels. He sits on this same bench and over the years the birds have come to trust him and even the jay family fetch peanuts from the back strut of the bench. Today I saw a large rat creep out behind him in the long grass and take a peanut away into the bushes - too fast for me to capture. The dog belongs to his friend who runs round the park 3 times and leaves the dog to rest after the first circuit!
