Dripping

The scarlet runner beans have gone bonkers. It’s just as well I like them. Appropriately enough Bean does too.

Much of the day was spent with my friend the bee-keeper on her property 40km south of here. We bartered honey for pickles.

She has a 10 acre lifestyle block which she is gradually planting with natives and with food forest species. She has a huge glass house (I am envious) and a large veg garden. We wandered in the sunshine and talked food production, then pottered down to the river which runs along one boundary, where we all three paddled in the delightfully cool clear water.

What a lovely way to while away a Saturday
