During the week they were forecasting rain for today, and I wasn't looking forward to the practical boating course I was committed to.

But it was a gorgeous autumn day, a bit chilly but the sun shone and the water was glassy in Lyttelton harbour.

Sadly the last person to use the waterproof camera didn't put the battery on charge, so I had to settle for this grungy shot when I got back to land. I can't afford to risk taking my camera on the sea!
