Unwilling model

This Southern Red Bishop wasn't willing to pose nicely for me.....he kept turning away, but I am using this photo to show that his brilliant breeding colours are still looking good - I blipped one in full breeding plumage in October last year. It will be interesting to see when the colours start fading.
The heavy rain that was forecast for today didn't happen, although it's been overcast all day - we had a short spell of gentle rain. So once again our city has lost out on a good rainfall. 
We are "locked in" in the village tomorrow as the access roads will be closed for the annual Herald Cycle race.
