Enjoying the moment

The witch hazel is still in bloom but nearing the end of its glorious blossoming for this winter.

A day to recover from the working week and last weekend’s busyness with visitors. A couple of long dog walks for Merlin and I, looping through the meadow and village, a joy to be in the fresh air and active. At one point, a kestrel stopped us in our tracks when it landed on a post immediately in front of us - what a beautiful sight.

Otherwise, I have cleaned and done washing, received the weekly food shopping and completed a some aromatherapy studies. This evening Andy cooked an Indian meal for dinner and we’ve caught up with this week’s episode of the ‘Pottery Throwdown’. So grateful to have a day to enjoy just being, and sharing simple pleasures with Andy and Merlin.
