Nostalgia

I saw a trailer last week for an Italian film about a middle aged ex- mafia footman who returns to his home town , Naples. It looked good so I went this afternoon. Enjoyable with good location shots of Naples. A beautifully tender opening scene with him lovingly bathing his elderly mother.

It was showing in a nice cinema with stills from the film Ida on the wall. Now that was a terrific film in black and white with every frame a super still image.
