A quite nice day
I had to go to Tesco, which was ok, they had everything on my list. A bonus these days. I had to go because - I have to whisper it - I’d run out of cat food.
Then I had an unexpected visitor - my friend who lives near Looe - so we had a good catch up. Then my usual Saturday afternoon if nothing else is happening - batch cooking for the week and listening to football. As I spent exactly 50% of my life in each of London and Bristol I support Arsenal and Bristol City. I know you’re not ‘supposed’ to have two teams but I do:) It was really squeaky bum time - city equalised in the 93rd minute at the Stadium of Light. And Arsenal came from behind to win at Villa. In City’s case it’s clawing themselves away from relegation point by point. And Arsenal are trying to come first. This must seem like complete twaddle to people not interested in football.
And while this drama was happening I cooked a leek and mushroom risotto. I enjoy cutting up the vegetables when I’m cooking and I thought they looked pretty, hence the above.
I have been worrying about all the Scottish blippers and Storm Otto. I take it you’re all ok? It sounded very serious. I seem to follow lots of people who live in Scotland.
