Most beautiful loch in Scotland
A blatant effort to "spam the index" and raise the profile on searches, given my concerns for the area.
I remember bumping into another hill walker on a really cold winter morning. He had been out overnight, pitching his tent on the mountain side snow. He was well equipped obviously, and I asked him if he had been warm enough to sleep. He said he had been "just warm enough". I took that to mean he was blooming freezing through the night.
Anyway, as I cycled up the A86 and the Ardverikie Munros came into view I could see the snow line was going to be really close to the hill loch I was heading for. The change in temperature with altitude was noticeable and there was a right chill in the wind as I arrived at the loch. I stopped for a photo obviously, and scoffed six oatcakes such was my calorie craving.

On the return I really hammered on trying to build up heat but the corresponding rise in temperature (with descent) didn't happen perhaps as darkness had started to creep in.
Once home, when I went to put the bike away I could hardly stand to touch the handlebar with an ungloved hand because it felt so cold.
