At first hand.

Went to the gym this morning, and had a good time, as well as doing some exercise.  The sun put in appearance, but as soon as I got home, it disappeared. No idea what to blip, so I thought I'd show you my hand, which has dupuytren contracture.  I'm in good company, because Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Nighy, had or have it.  It's more common in men  (just my luck) and is hereditary, which I already knew, as my dad's both hands were affected. He had both hands operated on, but it didn't last long, and it came back after a few years, so I'd better get used to it, and there are worse things to have.
