The last effort

It was a glorious day on the Jurassic Coast today; after Mass in Bridport we motored to West Bay for a stroll and some photos.

The crew of this racing gig was coming out of the water and starting up the ramp as I was trying to catch a photo of the harbour in the sunshine.  It must be quite an effort after the rowing.  Another gig was further around the harbour, on the road, when I saw it; even on the level it must take some pushing and pulling.
