Another Cold, Gray Day

Went for a walk in the Arboretum again this morning - so good to get that kind of walking in. Today I say this gorgeous Mahonia (unknown species) just starting to bloom.

My son and the grandchildren came for a visit this afternoon - primarily to see Sophie the kitten. We had a grand time - ate some lunch and played with the cats and did puzzles on the floor. 

Then a long chat with my sister who's about to depart for her home in Mexico - near Merida, on the Yucatan coast. She'll be there for 6 weeks...I'm so envious! Next time she goes, I'll be visiting!
