I See You

I was trying to drive out of a parking lot when this lady was trying to walk by in front of me. She was moving at a snail’s pace but I didn’t mind.
As she began to pass my car window, I called out for her to smile and snapped a photo. I was really surprised at her response. She thanked me.

I thought about that for a while. That’s when I realized that some people simply want to be noticed, seen. They feel invisible to the world. I know that’s how I feel most of the time.

And here I was, noticing her. Speaking to her. Making eye contact. And actually taking her picture. No one should ever feel invisible.
