The Audience

It's going to be pretty impossible to find a play that's better than this one, The Audience with Dame Helen Mirren. HM plays HM to perfection having audiences with 10 of her 12 Prime Ministers. It's not in chronological order and starts with John Major (Paul Ritter) then goes back to Churchcill (Edward Fox), with costume changes for HM cleverly taking place on stage. She seemlessly changes from a young Queen complete with high pitch voice to the modern day one complete with obedient corgis!
All the PMs were fantastic but Gordon Brown and Harold Wilson stole the show, only 2 were missing Ted Heath and Tony Blair - they weren't missed! It is however, no wonder that the faultless HM has already won accolades for her performance she richly deserves them!
