Ardmore house, Observation Tower
What a horrible dreach ( gloomy, cloudy, rainy) day today, my cousin & I went a drive & walk to Ardmore, near Helensburgh to walk along the Firth of Clyde and try to locate this 16th or 17th Century Observation tower hidden among the thick trees, getting from the waters edge to the Hill was boggy to say the least, my boots soaked, my body soaked, my camera soaked, trying to capture this beautiful structure between the downpours was a challenge in itself, I tried to locate myself at it's entrance where less water was dropping from the surrounding tree branches, using my new wide angle lens I just leaned down my right leg and snapped a few shots off, it was difficult to get the correct exposure due to the bleak lighting conditions, Auch well, I said, best do it in the good old fashioned B&W ( hides a multitude of errors lol)
Must go back there in better weather, so much to explore and hope the boggy conditions have gone, hot bath was good, washing machine on & camera got a little TLC now to chill till tomorrow when the 3 cousins head out on another Adventure... Watch this space : )
