Feast
C prepared a wonderful meal for us at Bookgroup full of middle eastern flavours, inspired by her choice of book- The Bagdad Clock by Shades Al Rawi.
It was interesting but nebulous tale of growing up in Iraq between the two Gulf Wars.
As ever the conversation flowed.
I'm staying at RB13's tonight and arrived late afternoon and spent a most enjoyable hours or so looking into the life of her paternal grandfather. Coincidently we both had great-grandfathers who were butchers in Dundee.
Earlier I enjoyed my second Gaelic conversation class - the tutor had has preparing mini life stories so we could practice the past tense and also introduced us to handy conversation fillers. A good start to Seachdain na Gàidhlig.
