This morning I mowed lawns and did some hedge trimming at our student property. I felt quite exhausted and I realised why when I glanced at our weather station on my retutrn. 
This afternoon I went to watch Hadley  play  cricket in the schools 1st XI Gillette Cup competition. These are 15 over games. His bowling was outstanding taking 3/11 in his maximum of 3 overs. The opposition  Middleton Grange School got a total of 118/5. Shirley Boys High replied with 119/3  off 11.2 overs to win comfortably.
If you don't live in Christchurch you may wonder why a boys school has a girls name. Shirley is the name of a suburb in Christchurch. Hadley lives in Parklands  however they do not have a high school and SBHS is his closest school.
