a replica of the Pictish stone, the Hilton of Cadboll stone creates an atmosphere from its site close to the sea. The original stone was ‘used’ as a gravestone and damaged beyond recognition. Parts are in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh and part of the base in Balintore village hall. The current stone was beautifully and lovingly crafted and true to the original.
