Off to Mexico

I woke up just after 4am and couldn’t go back to sleep. Knowing my alarm would go off at 5.15, I decided to get up. Ben and Bibi got up around 6am and we got an Uber to Heathrow half an hour later. It was pretty quiet so we checked our bags in straight away. My bag was 1kg over (again). We then sat down and had breakfast. We stayed there until our gate was announced. Our flight to Houston took off at 10.05 and it was just over 10 hours. When we arrived in Houston, we had to wait at immigration for ages before catching the next flight. The second flight to Los Cabo’s was just over two and a half hours. Ben was very restless on that flight and was unable to nap. We got through immigration pretty quick and our suitcases were waiting for us when we came out. We went looking for the car hire company and were a bit confused until someone we asked pointed out that we needed to catch a bus. We were first off the bus and got seen to at the car rental counter very quickly. There was no hard selling of extra insurance. It took us 35 minutes to drive to our accommodation. We’re staying at a place called Sunrock Condos and we have a big two bedroom apartment with a balcony overlooking the sea. We were all starving but too tired to go out and find somewhere to what so we went straight to bed. Ben and I have a king size bed which is super comfy.
