Leaving Durnstein

This blue and white church in the town of Durnstein is apparently unique in its colour scheme; certainly the other comparable Baroque buildings were golden and white. The ruined castle on the hilltop above the town was where Richard Coeur de Lion was held captive till a ransom was paid, and where the faithful musician Blondel tracked him down.

We had a wine-tasting here this morning. Wine for elevenses was another first ...
