Unexpected star of the ....

South East News last night. Shingle shifting has been going on for some years now, so not sure why it has made the "big time"! It was interesting that they mentioned the number of properties thus protected  - over 400 - as that is what the Environment Agency base their decisions about cost upon.

The extras are of the Meridian Monument in Peacehaven. It's a few months since I've walked along there and my impression is that it is nearer than ever to the edge of the cliff. I think erosion has taken place. Worrying as it's only a few feet away.
