Final resting place
Hubby, Sugar and I went for a hike today at American Chestnut Land Trust. Along the way I spotted this old truck. I recognized it as being a 1940's International. My grandfather had a grey one. People have told me the first night he owned it there was a full moon and he stood and looked out the window all night. It was his first and only vehicle. This is the view looking through the back window. I often looked through his as we road along in the back of the truck. FYI I learned to drive it when I was just big enough to see out the windshield and reach the clutch! Those really were different days and I would not trade them for anything. I actually found a spring from the seat and brought it home. I think it will make a cute little Christmas tree. What can I say I love rust.
The extra gives a better idea of the cab of the truck. The bed was not attached but parts of it and a hub were scattered around. I have always liked the style of the truck. We had a grand day and a nice lunch out. Have to make every day count!
Thanks for visits and rewards.
