A curtain of catkins

This was taken from is my bedroom window,  facing out of the front, north-facing, woody side of the house, rather than looking out at the far view of the Downs to the south.  February can be lovely not just for the snowdrops and emerging bulbs but also, in our region, for the catkins.   On sunny days (which today wasn’t) they light up and hang like golden clouds in the leafless trees.

I spent the morning on zoom in the house office and then hopped on a train to do a quick meeting with our Glasgow based director and producer who had been recc’ing a London station.  Very useful.

Then a couple more meetings before jumping back on a train and heading home.

Have decided to stay home tomorrow as I have a big writing job to do.
