Pillars of academia

Almost through our first week of studies since the earthquakes. Each day takes us along the path towards normalcy, whatever that may be. While these pillars exude strength, many buildings in Istanbul remain unsound; made with sea sand, they will crumble into dust during the next big one. Many friends, colleagues and students are unsure what to do as it is too expensive to move. With luck, the next big one will be many years away and by then, people will have relocated and rebuilt.
