Penola Strait
Today we explored the Penola Strait (65º10’ S and 64º7’ W) and Pléneau Bay. It is an exquisite iceberg garden, where large tabular icebergs and older, rolled icebergs have run aground. Many of these icebergs have originated from as far south as the Ross Ice Shelf. The extras give just a peak into some of these wonders. Thank you kind blippers for your reaction so far to the images from this breathtaking part of our planet. I feel overwhelmed and privileged to be here.
“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time” (T.S. Eliot)
