No Mean City

I was in Glasgow today for a writing conference, meeting with colleagues from all over Scotland. Our mission- to raise attainment in writing. This is a pilot scheme we have been working on since September and we are seeing real improvements which is very exciting! We are hoping to share it with our colleagues in school soon. In all my 20+ years in teaching this is one of the best initiatives I have been involved in.
Trains home were on time so it was good to get home and check in on Lexi dog. She is grand! E’s interview this morning went well and she was pleased with how it went. This is to get onto the supply list, a normal step at this stage. She was also pleased to see 2 posts at a new secondary school go live so she is applying for that. There will be a lot of applicants apply so competition will be fierce.
