Emerald Hill Road.

This used to be part of a nutmeg plantation belonging to an Englishman called William Cuppage.

As nutmeg prices fell and its cultivation was no longer profitable the estate was sold.

It is now renowned for its terraced houses of "Chinese Baroque" architecture.

A little gem of a place.
