An afternoon in Brighton
I had decided to have a night at Gatwick Airport and travel back to Glasgow on Saturday morning, much less tiring than stressing about same day connecting flights. This meant I had a free afternoon/evening when I was determined not to sleep. Brighton is just 30 mins away by train so this where I spent the time staying awake.
After 15 days of pretty much zero solitude I had a very relaxing afternoon, walking along the esplanade, and to the end of the Brighton Palace Pier with its array of more interesting than usual rides, had it been running I would have tempted by the Crazy Mouse one.
I had fish and chips in Harry Ramsden’s which seem to have disappeared in Scotland and bread and butter pud - their deal for the 60+, it tasted like nectar after a diet of mostly rice, beans, papaya, plantain and chicken.
There was time to visit the Pavilion, extra, and wander up and down the lanes before getting the train back to Gatwick.
Catching up with all the news now, I am disappointed that Angus Robertson is not standing.
