IT'S FLOWER FRIDAY
As I've said before, there's no flowers in this area this time of year and I have nothing else to contribute....so I'll share a flower pic from last Spring.
~
Wild Strawberry (Fragaria vesca); did you know it's in the Rose Family Rosaceae? They grow all over the place around here but the fruits are pretty small, not much larger than a pea on steroids. Bugs love them; bees loves the blossoms; but it would take 100 of them to construct a proper Strawberry Sundae. It's best to use the larger, domesticated varieties if you hanker for a real treat for your palate.

What's a Strawberry Sundae? For the unfortunate in the rest of the world who are unaware of the Strawberry Sundae, it's time you got educated:
strawberry sundae .........it's OK to salivate now.
The Ice Cream Sundae (there's a hundred varieties of them including strawberry) was invented in Two Rivers (properly pronounced Trivers), Wisconsin in 1881. It's only an hour or so north of here and we always bow properly when we drive through town.

Best in Large.
