A hornet in winter?

The most (only) interesting shot of the day. Glad my phone fiiinally managed to focus on that thing with some reasonable aperture.

There is three F/A-18C "Hornet"s flying around here almost daily. The usually depart and land on the Rovaniemi airport next to the town and make low low low flyover over the city. My word, these things are loud. But also undeniably cool to see. Always cool to see extreme technology, engineers pushing the limits, bordering on "maf scientist".

Side note: there is a make shift military airstrip close to here. Its basically a widened public road that places can land on if need be.
