HELPING IN MR. HCB'S GREENHOUSE

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We were all very excited today because Mr. HCB said that if we promised that we wouldn’t touch anything we shouldn’t, we could go out into his greenhouse with him and plant some seeds.  What an adventure.  Of course, Mrs. HCB insisted that some of us wore scarves and hats because she said it was cold outside, but inside the greenhouse, it was very warm, because the sun was shining - what does she know?  We think that Admirer would have laughed if she had seen us all done up like that with the sun shining so brightly.  

Mr. HCB has already planted some seeds and they are coming up, even though it has been so cold, especially at night, so that was exciting to see.  He said we would need some gardening gloves, but we like to get our hands dirty, so we said we wouldn’t bother, except for one or two who were a bit worried that their fur might not be so white afterwards, so Mr. HCB said he would find some of his old gloves for them to wear.

We did say that we would like to play in the garden when we had finished helping Mr. HCB but the grass is very wet, so we are going to help him sort out all the stuff you can see through the back window of his greenhouse - the old plastic dustbin, the compost bin and the hosepipe, so that should be fun - perhaps we could even have a water fight - but of course, we won’t tell Mrs. HCB.  

We do love the Spring and it is so exciting to see all the seeds coming up - you can see from all the different packets of seeds that the HCBs should have lots of vegetables and flowers when the summer comes.

We know that Mrs HCB will be glad when her knee is working properly, so that she can go out and help Mr. HCB in the garden, but of course, she is NOT allowed to do anything in the greenhouse, that’s his domain, so we were very pleased that he let us help this morning - he obviously thinks were are special.  He’s a great fella!

P.S.   Just a reminder that 10 months today, it will be Christmas Day!!  Ha ha - that is very silly and Admirer would like that!
