Five years...

... is a long time. And the blink of an eye.

It seemed that my mum's treatment was making her better then, one day - Sunday 18 May to be exact - poof... she was gone. We were too late to say goodbye.

Yesterday was ok, actually, I drove around 120 miles, here, there and everywhere. Picked up wallpaper and wood, a new mirror and a few other bits and pieces. Took some roses and freesias to my mum's grave. Had a long chat with J on the phone last night, and the day was over.

And really, it is just another day. My mum is gone from my life every day, not just on the anniversary of the day she left. And I miss her every day. Can't see that changing...
