Casuarina
One little flower growing out of the truck of this casuarina tree on Yilki Common. Taken with the digital SLR camera loaned by J.
I like the way it focusses on the subject and fuzzes the foreground and background. Have a lot to learn about depth of field with this camera but this worked quite well on auto macro.
Once again I don't which species of casuarina this is. If anyone knows of a good site for Australian plant identification I'd love to know about it.
It was a toss up between this and a whacky anthill. Among the usual conical anthills there was one with straight sides and twice as tall as the rest. There are individualists in the ant world. I think it might have been a set from the Miniscule series.
